Why Abilene

We are looking for you

Abilene is the county seat of Taylor County, about 150 miles west of Fort Worth on Interstate 20. It is home to three universities: Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University, with thousands of students between them. Downtown has the restored Paramount Theatre and the Frontier Texas! museum, and the state named Abilene the Storybook Capital of Texas for its downtown storybook sculptures. Three campuses and a growing downtown scene are exactly why casting is looking here.

Maybe you work retail near the mall, wait tables downtown on Cypress Street, or study at ACU, Hardin-Simmons or McMurry. If you are friendly and easy on camera, you already have what casting looks for.

Apply online in about three minutes. When you apply, you are on our Abilene list, and we contact applicants directly about next steps. Rockstarr Media is also hiring promotional models and brand ambassadors for paid, part-time event work around Abilene: trade shows, sports events, product sampling and grand openings.

We especially want to hear from girls who cheered or danced in high school or college. Rockstarr Media does not hire cheerleaders or dancers as such, but performing for a crowd, holding a smile through a long routine and taking coaching are exactly what casting looks for.

It is not only modeling. When you apply you can choose Model, Actress, Festival Reporter or Backstage VIP Correspondent, and girls 21 and older can audition to host our travel series JET SETTERS.

Rockstarr Media is owned by Bart Starr, who has booked models, talent and events since 2001. Every application is reviewed by our casting team. Not everyone is selected. We set Abilene casting dates based on who signs up, so the sooner you apply, the sooner you hear from us.

Close to Abilene? We want to hear from you too: Clyde, Merkel, Tye, Buffalo Gap and Anson.
