Why Oakland

We are looking for you

Bart Starr's Rockstarr Media is looking for girls in Oakland who have never modeled before. No agency, no portfolio and no professional photos needed.

Maybe you serve at Jack London Square on the waterfront, pour drinks in Uptown along Telegraph Avenue, work a cafe or bar by Grand Lake on Lakeshore Avenue, a downtown hotel near the Oakland Convention Center, or a shop on College Avenue in Rockridge. Waitresses, bartenders, hostesses, cocktail servers, front-desk and retail girls: you already spend every day talking to strangers, staying calm when it gets busy and looking put together on your feet. That is exactly what casting looks for.

College girls are welcome too, from Mills College at Northeastern University, Laney College, Merritt College, Samuel Merritt University or University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley). We especially want to hear from girls who cheered or danced in high school or college. Performing for a crowd, holding a smile through a long routine and taking coaching are exactly what casting looks for.

It is not only modeling. When you apply you can choose Model, Actress, Festival Reporter or Backstage VIP Correspondent, and girls 21 and older can audition to host our travel series JET SETTERS.

Every application is reviewed by our casting team. Not everyone is selected. We set Oakland casting dates based on who signs up, so the sooner you apply, the sooner you are in front of us. It takes about three minutes on your phone.

Close to Oakland? We want to hear from you too: Piedmont, Emeryville, Alameda, Berkeley, San Leandro, Albany, El Cerrito, Castro Valley, Orinda, Hayward, Lafayette, Richmond, Walnut Creek, San Francisco.

There's more out there

Oakland is a big stage. The world is bigger.

You know every corner of Oakland. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to fly somewhere new for a booking, see the world and come home with a story, apply. Bookings and travel are a chance, never a promise, but you can't get picked if you never apply.

Those are the things casting looks for, and most people who walk into a casting have never done any of them.
