Texas spreads its event calendar across four big metros. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo fills NRG Park for three weeks in March, SXSW takes over Austin each March with conferences in tech, film, music and comedy, and the State Fair of Texas runs for 24 days at Dallas's Fair Park in the fall. San Antonio's Fiesta adds more than 100 events each April. The convention map is shifting: the Austin Convention Center is closed for an expansion due for completion in 2028, and Dallas is building a new convention center set to open in 2030, so many shows are using other venues in the meantime.

With the Austin Convention Center closed, where are Austin events happening?
The Austin Convention Center is closed for redevelopment, with completion expected in 2028. Its sister venue, the Palmer Events Center on Barton Springs Road, remains open, and many events have moved to hotels and other venues around the city. We staff events wherever they land.
When is peak event season in Texas?
Late winter and spring are the busiest stretch, with the Houston rodeo and SXSW in March and Fiesta San Antonio in April. Fall brings the State Fair of Texas and football weekends. For those weeks, book staff as early as you can.
Are your Texas event staff certified to serve alcohol?
