Houston's event calendar runs on two engines. Downtown, the George R. Brown Convention Center offers 1.2 million square feet of exhibit, meeting and ballroom space, tied to about 7,000 hotel rooms by climate-controlled walkways and fronted by Discovery Green and Avenida Houston. A few miles south, Reliant Park, which dropped the NRG Park name in August 2026, hosts the Offshore Technology Conference, the Houston Auto Show and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Between them sit Toyota Center, the Theater District and neighborhoods from Montrose to the Heights that keep sampling crews and street teams busy.

Houston details we plan for
The stadium complex has a new old name
The complex called NRG Park since 2014 returned to its original name, Reliant Park, in August 2026, and the Texans play in Reliant Stadium again. Some event sites and older floor plans still use the NRG names. On our call sheets we list both, so staff arriving for an early load-in head to the right lot and gate.
Walkways and construction at the GRB
The George R. Brown links to roughly 7,000 hotel rooms through climate-controlled walkways, and Avenida Houston connects it to Discovery Green, so lobby greeters and directional staff work well even in August. The GRB South expansion is closing and detouring nearby streets, so we check Houston First's detour notices before setting staff arrival times.
Heat, humidity and storm season
Houston summers are long, hot and humid, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30. For outdoor sampling and street teams we plan shade, water and shorter rotations. For any outdoor date in late summer or early fall, we agree on a weather backup with you well before the event, not the morning of.
Bilingual audiences and getting around
Houston has a large Spanish-speaking population, and many consumer activations land better with English-Spanish bilingual staff, so tell us your audience at booking. METRORail's Red Line serves the Reliant Park area, and METRO runs direct service between IAH and the GRB for visiting teams. Most local staff still drive, so we confirm staff parking ahead of time.

Can you staff trade shows at the George R. Brown Convention Center?
Yes. The GRB is downtown Houston's main convention venue, and our local staff work booth, registration and hosting roles there. Send us your hall, booth size and show hours, and we will quote a team that covers setup, open hours and breaks, with photo or video coverage if you want it.
Is NRG Park the same place as Reliant Park?
Yes. The complex returned to its original Reliant Park name in August 2026, and the stadium is Reliant Stadium again. Some show materials and websites still use the NRG names, so we note both on staff instructions to avoid wrong-gate arrivals on load-in day.
Do you cover Katy, Sugar Land and The Woodlands?
Yes. Our Houston staff live across the metro, including Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, Cypress and Clear Lake. Booking people who live near your venue shortens their commute and makes early call times more dependable in Houston traffic.
When is the busiest time to book event staff in Houston?
Winter and spring are the most crowded, with the auto show in January, the rodeo in March and OTC in May. Booking several weeks ahead for those windows gives us the widest choice of experienced staff. Summer is quieter, but outdoor events need a heat plan.
Are your Houston promotional models certified to serve alcohol?
Yes. Our models are TABC certified and trained to serve alcohol, so they can work bars, beverage sampling and events where alcohol is served in Houston. Staff at alcohol events are 21 or older.
