Local event staff across Illinois

Illinois events start in Chicago. McCormick Place, which bills itself as North America's leading convention center, has more than 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space in four lakefront buildings and hosts the Chicago Auto Show every February. Lollapalooza fills Grant Park each summer. Outside Chicago, the state's calendar follows agriculture and government. Springfield hosts the Illinois State Fair in August, Peoria's Civic Center combines an arena, a theater and exhibit halls, and Bloomington-Normal combines the State Farm and COUNTRY Financial headquarters, Rivian's EV plant and Illinois State University.

We keep local staff throughout Illinois, from Chicago and its suburbs to Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal and Champaign-Urbana. A downstate booking usually goes to someone who lives nearby, not a crew sent from Chicago. Rockstarr Media has staffed events since 2001, more than 5,000 in over 100 U.S. cities, with hundreds of staff available. Every booking is quoted, and our media team can add photo and video coverage.

Local, not flown in

Local staff in every city we work

Many staffing agencies are based in one city and fly talent to the rest. Rockstarr Media already has staff in place in every major US city and the towns just outside them, so your team is local wherever your event is. It is rare that we need to fly anyone in.

FAQ

Event staffing in Illinois: questions

Which Illinois cities do you cover?

We cover Chicago and its suburbs, including Rosemont and Schaumburg, as well as Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Rockford and the Quad Cities. If your event is in a smaller town, ask us. We usually have staff within driving distance.

Can you staff large McCormick Place shows?

Yes. We staff booths of every size at McCormick Place, from a pair of brand ambassadors to large teams for multi-day shows like the Chicago Auto Show. The campus is very large, so we plan staff positions and break coverage around your hall and booth location.

When is the busiest event season in Illinois?

Chicago is busy all year with conventions, but summer is the peak for festivals, from Lollapalooza in Grant Park to street fairs across the city's neighborhoods. Downstate, August is the big month, when the Illinois State Fair runs in Springfield.

Can one booking cover events in several Illinois cities?

Yes. For a tour or multi-market campaign, we staff each stop with local people and manage the whole program as one booking. That avoids travel costs and means each team already knows its venue.

Are your Illinois event staff certified to serve alcohol?

Yes. Rockstarr Media holds alcohol licensing in every state we work, including Illinois, and our models are certified and trained to serve alcohol. Staff at alcohol events are 21 or older.
