Your First 30 Days as a Model, Starting From Zero Experience

Everyone starts somewhere, and almost every model started with zero experience. You don't need a portfolio, an agency or money for a photoshoot. You need 30 days and a plan. Here it is, one week at a time.

Week 1: your first photos and your application

• Take your digitals: one close-up and one full length, plain wall, daylight, no filters
• Wear something simple: a fitted top and jeans, hair down, light makeup
• Apply free: the Rockstarr Media casting page takes about three minutes

Week 2: learn the basics

• Read the free Rockstarr Media Modeling Academy lessons, one a day
• Take the Academy quiz. Use the same email as your application
• Learn the types of modeling and decide where you fit best

Week 3: practice every day

• Posture: shoulders back, chin level, ten minutes a day
• Mirror work: find your angles and your best smile
• Walk: practice in a hallway, heel first, steady and slow
• Film yourself: talking to camera, so you're ready if we ask for a video

Week 4: get ready to say yes

• Keep your phone on and answer messages fast. Opportunities go to whoever replies first
• Check your spam folder for emails from casting@rockstarrmedia.com
• Say yes to your first event or brand ambassador booking. Real experience counts
• Show up early, prepared and friendly. That's how you get booked again
