Louis Vuitton closes the entire calendar on October 6. Valentino returns to Paris on October 4 after showing its previous collection in Rome. Drew Henry makes his debut as creative director of Courrèges on September 30, one of the new names designers and editors were waiting to see. Across the runways of New York, London and Milan, a few ideas kept coming back, and they set the tone for the clothes you will be seeing everywhere next spring. Sheer is everywhere. Transparent fabrics, delicate silks and sheer layers showed up again and again, often worn over or under something more structured. It is soft, romantic and a little daring. Tailoring changed shape.
