Last summer, a Guess ad in the August 2025 issue of Vogue featured a model who does not exist. She was built by an AI studio called Seraphinne Vallora, and the only clue was a small line in the corner of the page. The backlash was immediate. Model Felicity Hayward called it "lazy and cheap," and one viral TikTok put it simply: "We want to look at real people in magazines."
Where the AI girls are showing up. In fashion, H&M has started using AI "digital twins" of real models, Mango ran a campaign with AI-generated avatars in 2024, and Levi's has partnered with AI modeling firms. On Instagram and TikTok, virtual influencers like Lil Miquela and Aitana López have built big followings and land brand deals of their own. On subscription sites, a whole business of fully AI "creators" has grown up on platforms like Fanvue, which even ran a Miss AI pageant in 2024. OnlyFans went the other way: its rules only allow AI content that shows the real, verified creator, and it has to be labeled.
Why it matters if you want to model. Every AI face in an ad is a job a real girl did not get. Sara Ziff, founder of the Model Alliance, has warned that synthetic models "threaten jobs," and that real people are being digitized "often without clear standards for consent or compensation."
The law is starting to catch up. New York's Fashion Workers Act, in effect since June 19, 2025, says a model has to give separate, explicit written consent before anyone uses an AI digital replica of her, spelling out the scope, the purpose, the pay and how long it will be used. In Europe, transparency rules that took effect on August 2, 2026 require AI-generated images of real people to be disclosed.
Where Rockstarr Media stands. Every girl we cast is a real person, and we do not represent AI models or AI influencers. We will never create an AI copy of anyone we work with without her separate, written consent, and we will never sell or license her face, body or voice to train AI. Our terms also forbid anyone from using photos of our talent, or images from our site, to make AI copies. That is our Real Faces Policy, and it is in writing.
Real work for real girls. Rockstarr Media is casting real people right now: new faces for modeling, festival reporters and backstage correspondents who report on camera, and the host of our original series JET SETTERS. No agency, no experience and no portfolio needed. If you are 18 or older, applying is free and takes about three minutes.
AI can make a face. It cannot walk into a room, light up on camera, take direction and nail it in one take. That is still a person's job. If you are that person, we want to meet you.
