Federal land, federal permits
Much of Washington's open space, including the National Mall, is managed by the National Park Service, and organized events there generally need an NPS permit. Commercial businesses go through a separate Commercial Use Authorization. Confirm who owns the ground before planning a park or plaza activation in the monumental core.
One region, three jurisdictions
A DC campaign often reaches Maryland and Virginia in the same weekend. Commanders games are at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, and Gaylord National and MGM sit in National Harbor, Maryland. Each jurisdiction sets its own rules on permits and alcohol service, so confirm requirements for every stop, not just the District.
Let Metro do the driving
The convention center is served by the Mount Vernon Square/7th Street–Convention Center station, and Capital One Arena is at Gallery Place–Chinatown on the Red, Yellow and Green lines. Downtown garages fill fast on show and game days, so we route staff by Metro whenever the load allows.
Spring crowds, summer humidity
The National Cherry Blossom Festival runs from late March into April, with the parade, Petalpalooza at Navy Yard and the Sakura Matsuri street festival drawing heavy crowds. Washington summers are hot and humid, so outdoor activations from June through August need shade, water and staff rotation built into the plan.

Do you provide staff in Maryland and Northern Virginia?

Can you staff an activation on the National Mall?
