Take the ferry to the convention center
Chatham Area Transit's Savannah Belles Ferry links River Street to Hutchinson Island and the Savannah Convention Center at no charge. Staff who park or stay downtown can ride across instead of driving over the Talmadge Bridge, but build the ferry schedule into call times so nobody misses the start of a show day.
Use the free DOT shuttle downtown
CAT's zero-fare Downtown DOT runs two loops, Forsyth and Downtown, connecting visitor centers, parking, hotels and attractions. For street teams moving between squares or from a garage to an activation site, it saves time on narrow, busy streets and keeps staff from carrying product long distances.
St. Patrick's Day is always March 17
Savannah's parade happens on March 17 regardless of the day of the week, after an 8 a.m. Mass, and the whole Historic District fills. Hotels and parking sell out early. If you plan an activation that day, book staff well ahead and set check-in outside the parade area.
Spring festivals spread across the squares
The Savannah Book Festival runs February 4–7, 2027, with 40+ free author talks on Saturday and over 10,000 attendees, and the Savannah Music Festival runs April 2–17, 2027. Both use venues scattered through the Historic District, so roaming teams should plan walking routes between squares.
