Downtown, the Kentucky International Convention Center on South Fourth Street has emerged from a full renovation and expansion, a short walk from Fourth Street Live!, the KFC Yum! South of downtown, the Kentucky Exposition Center offers 1.2 million square feet of meeting space and 300 outdoor acres, hosting the National Farm Machinery Show each February and, on its Highland Festival Grounds, Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond in September. Two convention campuses, two game plans
The Kentucky International Convention Center sits downtown at 221 S. Fourth St., with the Cowger and Commonwealth garages nearby. The Kentucky Exposition Center is a separate campus at 937 Phillips Lane, south of downtown. Confirm which building your show is in before you book hotels or set staff call times, because parking, entrances and walking distances differ completely.
Derby week compresses everything
The 2027 Kentucky Oaks runs Friday, April 30, and the 153rd Kentucky Derby is Saturday, May 1, with Churchill Downs race days starting April 24. Hotel rooms, cars and experienced hosts get booked early for that stretch, and corporate hospitality events cluster in the days before. If your event lands in late April or early May, lock in staffing as soon as your date is firm.
September is festival month
Louder Than Life (September 17–20 in 2026) and Bourbon & Beyond (September 24–27 in 2026) run on back-to-back weekends at the Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center. Sponsor booths and sampling teams there work long outdoor days, so we build shift rotation, shade and water breaks into the schedule from the start.
Both sides of the Ohio
Waterfront Park's Great Lawn and the Big Four Bridge to Jeffersonville, Indiana, make the riverfront a natural setting for public activations. Plenty of the metro's workforce lives across the river in Jeffersonville and New Albany, and our roster reaches both banks, which helps when a campaign covers Kentucky and Indiana in the same week.
