Los Angeles details we plan for
Getting to the Convention Center
Three Metro Rail stations serve the Los Angeles Convention Center. Pico Station on the A and E Lines is about an eight-minute walk, with 7th St/Metro Center and LATTC/Ortho Institute a little farther out. Parking runs through the West Hall, South Hall and Venice garages, so we set call times around transit and garage access rather than hoping for an open space.
A convention center under construction
The City of Los Angeles has approved an expansion and modernization of the convention center, and the work is underway. Entrances, load-in routes and staff check-in points can change from one show to the next. We confirm the current access plan with show management before your dates and brief staff on it, so nobody is hunting for the right door on opening morning.
Pouring alcohol in California
California requires on-premises alcohol servers and their managers, at venues including caterers, stadiums and tasting rooms, to earn Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 60 days of starting work.
Distance is measured in time
A Santa Monica activation and an Anaheim one sit in the same market but can be a long drive apart at rush hour.
