Altitude changes the plan
At roughly 7,000 feet, sun and dehydration hit harder than many visitors expect, and staff tire faster on long outdoor shifts. We build in water, shade and breaks for festival and expo days, and recommend brands do the same for guests at their booth, especially when demos are physical.
Mountain weather turns fast
Flagstaff is one of the snowiest cities in the country, averaging close to 100 inches a year, and summer afternoons often bring thunderstorms. Weight tents and signage, keep a covered fallback for product and electronics, and for winter events allow for road conditions on I-17 and I-40.
Fort Tuthill hosts the big gatherings
Fort Tuthill County Park, at 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop south of downtown, is home to Overland Expo West, the Coconino County Fair and the Flagstaff Rodeo. It is a large outdoor site, so share your booth number and entry gate, and expect staff to arrive early for check-in and setup.
