Charleston details we plan for
Two event hubs, one region
The convention center, coliseum and performing arts center share one campus at 5001 Coliseum Drive in North Charleston, while most cultural and retail events happen on the peninsula. Plan travel time between them, and check the Stingrays schedule (their season opens October 17, 2026), since game nights share parking with convention shows.
Bridge Run weekend
The Cooper River Bridge Run is Saturday, April 3, 2027, a 10K from Mount Pleasant across the bridge into downtown, with an expo during race weekend and a finish festival with bands. Roads between Mount Pleasant and the peninsula close that morning, so we assign staff who live on the side of the river where you need them.
Working the peninsula
King Street and the historic district have narrow streets and limited parking, and loading zones fill early. For pop-ups and retail events, plan product drops before stores open, keep kits light enough to carry, and give staff a parking garage address rather than expecting curbside spots.
Plantation and island venues
Middleton Place and Boone Hall host events across the year, and resorts on Kiawah, Isle of Palms and Folly Beach carry corporate retreats. These sites sit outside downtown with their own gate and vendor procedures, so we schedule earlier call times and confirm entry instructions with the venue.
